Each year Bournemouth in Bloom invites the schools in the BCP area to enter the Schools’ Gardening Competition and many participate. In the summer, schools are invited to attend the Presentation Ceremony which in the past was at the Civic Centre in Bournemouth which is attended by the Mayor of Bournemouth. However, from 2025 we will be holding our Presentation event at Kinson Community Centre in Millhams Road, Bournemouth, .

      Children prepare their gardens or pots and many colourful displays have proudly been displayed for our judges to admire when visiting.  It is always very apparent how proud the children are with their achievements and this has proved to be a great way to introduce gardening to the young, not only to produce beautiful gardens but for their mental wellbeing.  It has been a great privilege to meet so many happy, keen young people.
